For the last few days of our trip we made a dash across Europe to visit the Cranshaws in France and to see Basel, Martin's current home town.

While driving across Southern Germany and Austria to Switzerland we managed to see plenty of the local culture - lederhosen, beer, schnitzel, and accordion music.

We spent two nights in Basel with Martin. Once again, it was a charming town. The architecture was beautiful, with buildings looking stunning across the Rhine.

For the last few days we went to Lille, France, to visit the Cranshaw family. We spent time catching up and seeing the highlights of Lille.

Finally we had to say goodbye. We drove to Paris, dropped off the car and flew home.
