Tobin Philip David Butler was born 10:50pm on Tuesday, August 24 at Christchurch Women's Hospital. He weighted in at 3.45kg (7.6lb). All went well.
Jen and Tobin transferred to Burwood hospital the next day for a few days rest. The staff there were great and very tolerant of our lack of knowledge on the finer points of early parenting. Heaps of flowers and presents arrived for which we were very greatful.
He then came home to his own room. For the second half of the week he enjoyed spending time with family and walks in Hagley park.
